Trip to Tokyo

After an early start to get to the Adelaide Airport for the 6am flight to Melbourne with connection to Tokyo departing at 9:30 checked in and started waiting. Announcement came over that flight delayed due to Melbourne being fogged in. Eventually left at 8am and assured that connecting flight would be fine. On arrival the last boarding call was going out so race from domestic to international - wish we hadn:t picked up the duty free whisky god it is heavy - got there in one piece. Okay now we are delayed because there is a problem with the fuel pump. Nearly 2 hours later we board and head off for a long and uneventful flight. Obviously they fixed the fuel pump.
Finally we are here, Tokyo Narita Airport - 80km to go and we made up half an hour. Got through the passport visa bit feeling pretty tired due to early start. Now pick up luggage and follow Philips directions to get to Tokyo. Oh damm no luggage just a message to say it will be arriving tomorrow. Now just get to Philips simple phone call and he suggests the Narita Express to Shinagawa not too difficult but last train leaves in 5 minutes hurry, made it just jumped on to any carriage then the conductor told us we were in the wrong carriage we needed #8 not #5 move now before it seperates and goes different way.
We got there finally and Philip found us in the crowd with help of another phone call, 2 more trains and we get to Philips around 11:30. Few drinks to relax and we are good. Hopefully they do deliver our luggage Saturday.
